Walls Walls Walls! Win team fights and be a menace!
This build took me to All-Star this season (Season 17, if you're reading this in the future), with a 70% winrate. Let me know if you try this and if it works for you!
The main point of this build is [Iceberg] and [Snowball Flight] to generate as many mini Blizzards as possible, and become an extreme nuisance to your enemies. You will be splitting teams apart, winning duels, blocking for your teammates, and generating insane team fight value.
Being unpredictable can be extremely helpful in this build, but you still need to play Mei like you normally would β even though we're not putting any investment into your alt fire, you still often need to generate damage at a distance with icicle crits, especially in early rounds before we add ability power. Find a balance between playing with your team and flanking β you have the ability to cut off their backline and ruin the enemy game plan, but if you do it every fight it will be super easy to punish you. Since we're not taking [Frost Armor], [Permafrost], or [Coulder], you are much easier to kill than other popular Mei builds.
Pros: Extreme teamwork generator β you effectively force your team to focus fire an enemy when you split them off. You can create 5v1 scenarios in the middle of a team fight, and disrupt enemy cooldowns extremely consistently, especially in later rounds. There are a lot of items that help support this build in different ways, and it's very flexible allowing you to effectively counter your enemies with some critical thought during the armory phase. In later rounds you will have SO many walls, and can fully dictate the pace of the fight.
Cons: Less tanky than other Mei builds, meaning you can be somewhat of a glass cannon. It also often doesn't generate as much money as other Mei builds, and smart enemies can make ramping much harder, especially in the early rounds. You need to play intelligently and manage your cooldowns effectively with this build in order to unlock its true potential.
Do: play with your team, make so so many walls, be disruptive, control the pace of the fight, fill the kill feed with blizzard final blows
Don't: play like a tank, flank constantly, waste cooldowns
Tips for using walls: Do not use your walls haphazardly! You need to generate value out of something that has a long cooldown, and really doesn't do that much damage or make you money until round 4/5. Walls need to be strategic and well timed. Use them to isolate targets from their team, or block important cooldowns. Never use a wall to block simple chip damage β this is a waste of a cooldown and honestly just starves your support's ult gains. You can use them to physically block paths, but you need to have a reason to do this, like to disrupt a game plan, or to cut off a mercy from a rez. Likewise you can block for your Mercy so she can get a rez that she would otherwise not have been able to do safely.

Round Notes
For round one, the clear first choice to support this build is [Iceberg]. This power is the crux of the build, and the other powers we will take aren't nearly as effective without it. For example, if you take [Snowball Flight] first, you will generate less money (already an issue with the build) and your single large ice pillars will be much less impactful without the mini blizzards.
I take [Compensator] and [Weapon Grease] to help generate a little more money in the early rounds. For your third item, I suggest something to help you live longer, usually [Armored Vest] or [Plasma Converter].
Ability damage is not useful yet, and you want to try and live as long as possible in the first few rounds. Play slow and with your team, trying to split off enemies or block their cooldowns with every wall β you will only get one wall every 10 seconds, so try not to waste them. Dying is the main reason you will miss out on money, so try to extend team fights and be as annoying as possible without dying!
Tip: Increasing both weapon power and attack speed increases your DPS multiplicatively! It's a good idea to have some of both of these stats with beam weapons for this reason.
