Hey all, I strongly believe this is the best build for Zenyatta because it provides the highest effective damage increase, the highest stadium cash, the highest healing, and very strong 1v1 potential. This is due to the synergy between "Inner Peace" and "Enlightenment," along with the strongest combination of items for increased DPS. Please note that the healing only works on yourself from this interaction, while the target is discorded.
Last season and this season, I have hit All-Star on all roles, and I am consistently a GM Zenyatta OTP. I see a lot of players building Zenyatta very wrong, and I hope this guide changes that so that all my fellow monks can hit a new PB this season.

Added Divine Intervention as an optional item from round 4 onwards. This item is consistently very good against any hit that will proc it which tend to be the more dangerous kind of incoming damage. Highly recommend.

Added optional inclusion of "Soul Control" for round 7 This power got buffed and is now worth consideration. Round 7 decide whether you need more damage or more survivability.

Updated matchups due to Kiriko's clone tp build nerf which used to cause real problems but now is relatively tame

Round 1 Power: "Inner Peace" is potentially not the strongest power for this round but it will allow us to get more cash and set us up for the combo of pairing it with "Enlightenment" on round 3 for a ridiculous combo that provides Zenyatta with unmatched 1v1 potential and cash generation.

@gin113 I think he still does but only if the target is discorded, i'm testing right now in practice range
@alamolol ye i tested it right after patch, there it didnt work(lol?) and now it works again, its for sure a bug still though
@gin113 Yep its a weird interaction but it is still worth taking because most of the time when you need the healing, the target is discorded 1v1's or trying to trade etc.

Just so you know, Enlightenment doesn't work with Inner Peace. Other than that, love the build!
@FizzlockHere It does when the target is discorded. :) its bugged and will work 100% of the time in future but for now if a tank pushes you you discord them and you win that fight 100% of the time
@awesomerthanpie#0 Just FYI, just to set expectations, I do not think the self-heal is intended, and I do not think this will be "fixed" in zen's favor in the future. 35% self-lifesteal on a power is absolutely IMBA (compare against Zarya's lifesteal power that is only 15%), in addition to Zen also lifesteal for 2 targets (or 3 with multi-orb power). The self-lifesteal is a bugged interaction with discord only - as with many items and powers that use the key word "ally", most of the time, YOU are not considered YOUR OWN ALLY. This is true for many games that use this key term. This is also why, for example, "Friendship Bracelet" doesn't amp your own harmony orb's healing by 20%.
@awesomerthanpie#0 Just checked in a custom game and you're right! Interesting! I wonder if in the meantime it would be worth it to grab the "Instant Karma" power if you're getting focused, to further provide dmg mitigation if someone is jumping on you, since you need inner peace to have discord for the lifesteal anyways.
@awesomerthanpie#0 i just went back in to test it, it doesnt work even with discord, i thought it was but i must have been getting healing from something else last time i tested
@FizzlockHere it does work together you just barely feel it because its hit by the 75% reduction making it less then 10% your dps, i am pretty sure it works the same with the two ally orbs but i have not tested that.
