I've been playing Cass in Stadium as a reliable damage dealer, focusing on short off angles to get an early pick. I find it really enjoyable to get a quick 2tap and this build will ensure this remains possible throughout the match.
I have recently updated this to include a lot more surviability especially in the early rounds. You need to focus on doing damage to ensure that you maximise your cash, and having [Electrolytes] and [Armored Vest] are great items in the early game, but also helpful until the midgame.
I have also essentially decided that [Overdrive Core] is a massive, massive boon to the game as it virtually provides an extra free life per life, and I highly recommend that you take this as early as possible. It is actually insane having an additional 300hp when you first get low allowing you to get healed, or win a duel.
I feel that it is far better to take survivability at the expense of damage because you can certainly build a glass cannon but you'll just get picked off.
I have added what I would consider more 'essential' items with various optional items that you should choose depending on what the enemies are doing.
You should play this build if you are:
- Taking short off angles near your team.
- Going for critical, early picks.
- You can aim reasonably well.
- Using your roll and lifesteal as sustain.
- Duelling enemy DPS.
We do this by the following:
- Taking items that increase weapon damage%
- Taking survival items.
- Only using right click sparingly, for examples into shields, DVA, or a reaper where there are no better options. Always look for picks but shoot what's in front of you :)
I try to avoid:
- Long sightlines when the enemy has a good Soldier/Ana/Ashe.
- Getting run over by enemy DVA/Genji.
- Playing out in the open.
I typically think about the following:
- Taking [Overdrive Core] for survivability
- Taking [Competitive Analysis] when I'm marking a ground based DPS hero like Soldier or Cassidy.
- Taking [Aerial Distresser] when their comp consists of 2-3 aerial heroes (Freyr, Junkrat, Genji, Juno, Dva, etc).
I typically find that I earn 10k per round if I'm performing well, but this does fluctate, I've estimated a reasonable performance with about 7-8k stadium cash per round.
I have modified this build a few times so they round based commentary may be slightly out of date. But essentially you want to follow the above advice and abuse [Overdrive Core] and you'll be fine.

Background Information: This is very standard and will be your opening build. You'll be able to two tap most squishes with headshots.
Power Ability: Take [Just Roll With It]. In my opinion Cass lacks viable build options but anything to improve survivability should be selected.

Log In@za I’m not sure what you mean, but I’d typically recommend taking the items I list and filling up the six slots with greens.
Good build, but 52k in round 6 is a bit of a stretch
@C0rri I’ve noticed in the past few days it’s been harder to run this build as it seem to get less MVPs now that Sigma is prevalent, which forces a more poke playstyle which I think reduces income quite a bit. I’ve still found it fairly easy to earn $7-10k per round though. The build is likely due for a rework though, so watch this space.
@kmqt69#0 I noticed that too, it's still worth when investing in WP
the greens are what is said in comments, im guessing comments are right though?
