A lot of people play the dynamite build incorrectly so I'm here to give you a better understanding and prioritized items.

You will always pick [Out with a Bang] first. There will never be a reason that you shouldn't.

When you throw out your initial Dynamite, it will break into 3 smaller, less effective Dynamite. This is where a lot of players lose the whole point to a Dynamite build. They either think that's it or they're terrible at aiming and never hit the first Dynamite properly to start the rotation.

Your rotation doesn't stop after the 3 Dynamite spawn. You need to use your Coach Gun to detonate all 3 of the Dynamite while they're still in the air. If you do it immediately after, it will hit all 3 Dynamite every single time and give your team a window to push or use their ultimate's due to the massive amount of explosive damage and burn ticks you'll apply to everyone around it.

You should ALWAYS play it in this order:

  1. Dynamite
  2. Shoot with Viper
  3. Additional Dynamite spawn
  4. Shot with Coach Gun immediately

More often than not, this will kill any non-armored/overhealed player and allow a push or breathing room.

You'll then pick [Incendiary Blast] + [Double Barrelled] to assist with tanks, [Reaper] , and [Genji] . Adding burn damage to your Coach Gun is huge against [Genji] and [Reaper] because they will more often than not be hunting you down on the back line. In late game, it's important to get [Cybervenom] because it reduces enemy healing affects by 30% when you use an ability(Coach Gun+Dynamite).

Having [Double Barrelled] means you'll have two chances to apply this effect to DPS and tanks. Coach Gun also has spread damage, meaning one blast will hit multiple targets. You can also pair this with [Sidewinder] if your enemy team has a lot of aggressive players who get up close and personal. This increases damage by 25% on players who are closer than 10m. I.E. [Genji] , [Reaper] , [Mei] , and aggressive tanks.

Picking [B.O.B Jr.] last will help clean up a push because he can be used twice as often. I've thrown out 4 BOB's in an overtime instance on several occasions due to the amount of Ability Power you have at the end of a long game. [B.O.B Jr.] will help chip away at the healers and disrupt the tanks focus to give your team some momentum. He also forces [Moira] , [Mercy] , [Zenyatta] , and [Junkrat] to waste their ultimate's because they won't get them as quickly as you.

Feel free to mix it up and look at my Optional Items that will help you depending on your situation. This build will work in nearly every situation but there will be a few occasions where you need to switch it up depending on the aggressiveness and playstyle of the enemy.

Have fun!

Pick [Out with a Bang] first.

As well as the 3 starting items just give you a little sustain and extra damage.
