[LEGEND 5] [FREJA UPDATE] Mercy Build💰✨

Build Notes

This is the most reliable Mercy build that got me from Pro - Legend 5!

This build focuses on efficiency by maximizing your cash intake and helping you farm MVP better for extra cash in early rounds, and by endgame, it maximizes all of Mercy's utilities instead of just focusing on her healing.

⚠️ Disclaimer: There are a lot of different builds that could work! This is a build that focuses on efficiency throughout the match, not purely relying on scaling in endgame. It was the most reliable for my playstyle, which is blue beaming and surviving. I average 4.1k dmg boost/10. It's probably not as fun as battle mercy or full movement Mercy, so if you prefer that, it's not for you! This is also prior to the 5/23 patch which doubled the amount of points you got in Pro+.

🪽 Playstyle and reasoning

Generally you want to farm your ult as fast as possible with weapon power and [Renaissance] and [Threads of Fate]. It can turn fights around with [Crepuscular Circle].

Powers: I pick the same ones and sometimes switch up the order.

Items: Mostly split between damage boost, weapon power, and CD reduction, survivability

🌟 Powers

Why don't I pick certain powers?

  • 📈 Scaling: it doesn't scale well with this build (unusable by endgame) or takes too long to build around it (unusable without expensive items)
  • ⬆️Uptime: this power is only useful for a small amount of the time and doesn't have much impact when it's there
  • 🔨Replicable with items: items do what this power does

[Glass Extra Full]

This can work especially with [Threads of Fate] but 50 Overhealth is not significant, especially rounds 4+., so it doesn't scale well. It becomes difficult to keep people topped off all the time. Most importantly, you're losing out on damage boost opportunities this way since you're focusing on giving overhealth.

[Battle Medic]

This doesn't fit my playstyle and I don't find that there's enough time to pistol to justify spending an entire power slot on it. It works with [Crepuscular Circle], but the uptime of this power is not enough. ⚠️ This should not affect healing. I've confirmed with the devs themselves and with other Mercy creators like Somnus who uses this power frequently. BUT there are a lot of bugs in stadium so maybe it's possible under specific conditions.

[Equivalent Exchange]

This is too risky to use most of the time. I could see this maybe working in Round 7, but if you buy this early on you'll be stuck with three resses only for the rest of the game.

[Triage Unit]

I don't believe this item scales well with this build. Every other support has much better burst healing, which means by rounds 4+, this item can become useless if you don't GA quick enough on someone below 50% life since they'll be burst healed instantly. Either that, or they get bursted so fast you can't use it anyway. I'd rather prefer [Amari's Antidote].

[The Whambulance]

It doesn't fit this build.

🟠 [Serenity]

This could work for a lot of people, but I find that stacking armor, damage reduction, or increasing my beam range to play more safely with [Caduceus Ex] has the same effect, so I would rather pick something else.

🟠 [First Responder]

I found this unnecessary with [Resurrection Rangefinder] or enough survivability.

🟠 [Protective Beam]

I often choose [Distortion] over [Protective Beam] because this becomes useless if they fall under 80% health, while [Distortion] has infinite uptime as long as the ally you're boosting is shooting.

⚙️ Items

I try to avoid using items that don't serve a dual purpose. For example, if an item has ability power, and I'm not building AP, then I won't buy it.

An example is items like [Eye of the Spider] or [The Closer] provide strong weapon power, but if I won't always be fully maximizing the benefits of the items like revealing enemies, I will pick something else.

Items are really dependent on what's going on in the game.

Round Notes

🪽 Powers:

[Threads of Fate] is essential to charge ult faster, gain more pocket reach.

⚙️ Items:

I always go with buffing weapon and armor.

👼 Playstyle:

Maximizing threads of fate requires you to actively switch beam targets and watch who might go out of range.

LOVE this build, i basically almost always run it just alternating with the optional items listed depending on what i need! I think the only change i consistently make is just try to keep my weapon power and attack speed around the same so i always pick up advanced nanobiotics in the second round if I can afford it and then eventually switch to booster jets :D

Amazing build! I’ve been earning lots of cash. Was able to get 4 purples by round 4 in one game. I appreciate the extra options as well!

works well, didn't find any negatives when I tried it out in 3-4 games (almost impossible to play support with the skewed queue times)

That's my go-to build right now. Reached All-Star, was in Pro with previous build (healbae). The only thing I can't work with is rezes, so I switch Distortion with Renaissance. Enemies just instantly push when we -1 and hear me going for a rez, team rarely can help me, or teammate dies in dangerous place. Even increased distance and stucked survival abilities can't help my skill issue ahh xD So I found it more effective for myself to upgrade valk and beam first, to even prevent deaths.

.

good build but i heavely recommend you try out battle medic, IT DOES affect your healing, it combos super well with crepuscular circle and it gives you some bonus utility while you ult

now if its REALLY not your playstyle thats fine, but just know attack speed really does affect ur healing
