Build Notes

THIS IS A GUIDE BY A_Lords_Rose THAT WAS ON REDDIT BUT TAKEN DOWN FOR BEING TOO HEALBOTTY WOMP. PUTTING HERE BECAUSE IT'S EASIER TO FOLLOW FOR ME THAN THE GOOGLE DOC.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ume5t5GKmDI-19VMqb8PMdN0-tyZAKWo6h3-IcPMhLc/edit?usp=sharing A_Lords_Rose's guide! They post updates here! (I'll try to keep mine updated as well!)

Healbae Playstyle:

This build focuses on competence and keeping a general 40/60 heal to damage boost ratio similar to competitive. You will be healing closer to 50/50 at the beginning of the build, but as your healing increases in power, ideally it will eventually shift to 70/30 damage boost and healing with you doing the majority of the team’s healing.

This is not a pocket build, this is a team-based build. Yes you will have your preferred beam target, but unless that person is hard carrying, it’s more effective for you to be playing with the rest of your team and occasionally flying across the map to assist them.

General Tips for the Stadium:

Always spend your cash. Do not hang onto it.

Just like in regular competitive, you are the most important person on the team. You cannot heal, damage boost, or rez, if you are dead. Don’t die.

Most of the time, you cannot hard pocket a dps and ignore the rest of the team, there is too much damage in this game mode and your second support needs you.

Be VERY CAREFUL going for risky rezzes, your survivability comes from mobility and good positioning, if you go for unsafe rezzes you’ll probably faceplant due to the damage in this game mode.

Always keep your Threads of Fate secondary target in mind, if you are going to heal someone else, don’t heal your original target to full, let the second beam finish them off. Always be swapping your beam target every three seconds. It just needs to be a quick flick.

Do not hold onto Valkyrie. This is not role queue where you only use Valkyrie for your own survivability, pop it in a teamfight the moment you get it. It’s now a semi-powerful ultimate and you should get at least one every teamfight.

Do your math. There is no way for me to know how much cash you have on hand after the first round, so please judge what you can buy each round for yourself. Sometimes this can mean taking more, lower quality items, rather than a singular big one.

Round Notes

This is what I start with every stadium match. It has additional 7 HPS and a little bit of survivability.

*** [Threads of Fate]:*** In my opinion, if you don’t start with Threads of Fate, you start off wrong. This power is the best one hands down. You are immediately 50% more effective with both damage boost and healing for the first two rounds and that is more than ANY other power or item can give you.

*** [Compensator]:*** 5% Weapon Power, this is the best 1k item you can get.

*** [Weapon Grease]:*** 5% Attack Speed, this is the second best 1k item you can get.

*** [First Aid Kit]:*** 25 Shields + 33% time reduction on your self healing. This gives you an extra 25 regenerating shield and faster recovery for your support passive when you cannot heal with Sympathetic Recovery.

I DO NOT Recommend:

X Armored Vest (1,500) - Despite it being armor rather than shields, it does not have the perk that First Aid does with the shorter heal reduction. I will always take First Aid Armored Vest.

X Running Shoes (1,000) - This item is useless on spawn as you have GA to assist you, its only use is on respawns and returning you faster to your team. Its only value hinges on you dying. Don’t get it.

X Winning Attitude (1,000) - This item’s value hinges on you dying. It’s not worth the ultimate charge.
